Need help at creating design

Had a designer for 30 years. He has just passed away from cancer. Now I must do everything myself. I have looked at the tutorals but they do not help to create all design. This last job is to create a printable signature In Illustrator from a scan. Can some one help or where can I get such help??

place the scan in Illustrator then use Object >> Image Trace.
