I paid someone to create a label for my business and I am trying to change some of the text but it will not let me select any of the text to change. I got back with the person that created the label but she doesn't know why I can't edit it either. I can open other files and edit the text but it won't let me do anything to this label.
Any ideas?
Have a look at the Links panel. Does it show any embedded images?
The outline mode looks like it contains one. I am afraid you cannot change text.
Sheri,
I believe the only ways are to either ask the label creator to edit and resend or ask her to send you a plain version with the actual label/artwork.
You can only change the text yourself if you have the font she used.

Possibles:
1. the text was converted to outlines, in which case it is no longer editable type
2. the text object is locked. Try Object > Unlock All
3. there's an object in front of the type you want to select which is "getting the way".
If you change your view to Outline mode, you may have better access to each text object.

Yep, your entire label is an image for some reason. Ask your designer for the raw editable version.

Thank you for your response. I will get back in touch with the person I got it from.
