This is a minor annoyance really, but when creating a new document in Illustrator, I cannot highlight the "Untitled.ai" text in the name field. Double-clicking, click-dragging and CTRL-A don't work as expected. I have to position the cursor at the start of the text and press delete to remove the dummy text, whereas previously I could simply double-click to highlight the dummy text and type in my new document name.
Just wondering if this is something to do with my configuration, or if it's the default behaviour now?

Actually, this is not the correct answer, because it made no difference at all. The problem persists. You can't drag-highlight the text in the field.

OK, well I'm going to have to eat my hat here, because double-clicking worked just now, go figure... Still, click-dragging to highlight/select the text doesn't work.

If you want to know if this is something with your configuration, then maybe tell us your configuration?

Sure thing.
Windows 10, latest.
Intel i9, 64 GB RAM, RTX 2080 Ti
Default install of Illustrator, no third-party stuff installed.
I've tried removing it and re-installing it, but to no effect.
Again, it's a minor irritation, but an irritation nonetheless. I've been using Illustrator for years, but this seems to be a recent quirk. Could be a Windows thing, I don't know. I'll see if the asme thing is happening on my Mac next time I fire it up.
