Not able to tick 'Toggle dialog on/off' in Actions

Hi,

I am unable to select the 'Toggle Dialog On/Off' in my Actions menu. The option is available on all my other actions. I have Round Corners in my action that pops up when I run a batch, I need accept and bypass this. I have attached a screenshot of my action.

Thanks

Effects can't be added to actions directly, so presumably you used Insert Menu Item, which doesn't apply any settings, so it needs to ask for them.

You could try creating a graphic style with the round corners effect and your swatch colour, and applying that via the action instead.

Hi Doug,

Yes, the effect was added using Insert Menu Item. The dialog box seems to use the most recent value entered which is fine, I just need the action to press enter on the dialog box if it's possible. Someone here mentioned that you just need to tick the box shown in my screenshot and then the action ignores dialog boxes.

I tried using a graphic style as you mentioned, it works as a one off but it doesn't have an effect in the action. Maybe i'm doing something wrong. Any ideas?

Thanks

Yes, that's how you'd suppress dialogs normally, but it doesn't work for Insert Menu Items.

I don't know why a graphic style wouldn't work. Can you show the action with that recorded?

It worked for the first file in the batch but not the others. Where should the graphic style sit? At the moment it is in user defined styles. I'm assuming once the action opens a new file it can't find the graphic style.

Oh yes, the graphic style needs to exist in every document it's used in. Apologies, I missed that you were running a batch.

Styles in libraries (e.g. saved to User Defined) aren't part of the open document until they are selected. I'm not sure what the best solution would be in that case.
