'Not enough memory'

When I open my Illustrator file, all my images have been swapped for this. A message saying not enough memory also shows? Does anyone know how to fix this?

Does your links panel show them as missing?

This looks like you are in outline preview.

Did you try to close all applications, restart your machine and try again with Illustrator only?

What are you running on now?

Were they linked images you moved or are they high resolution images.
