Objects not aligning to rulers

When drawing a staight line and pressing shift it moves and is no longer aligned to rulers. Same thing when drawing a shape, for example a square it draws a little off and not parallel to the rulers. Is something off with the setting and can anyone help me correct this. Thank you

Can you check in your Preferences the Constrain angle?
