Objects that are copy and pasted always move with each other?

Why is Illustrator moving an object that I copied and pasted with each other? Whenever I try moving one, all the copies move. It is an SVG with envelope distort. Need help as it makes it unusable. It selects every single copy/original and moves them all together like they are glued. They are not grouped.

Just for grins, what happens if you copy one of the objects and paste it into a new doc?
