Objekt gleichmässig verkleinern

Hallo

Ich habe da diesen Pferdekopf im Illustrator erstellt. Ist ein Schnittmuster. Danach kahm der Wunsch, dass innerhalb dieses Kopfes mit einem Absand von ca 1 cm eine paralelle Linie ist. Also dachte ich. Kein Problem. Einfach kopieren und skalieren und gut ist. Ist aber gar nicht gut. Kann mir jemand sagen wie man das macht, dass überall der gleiche Abstand zur Aussenlinie herscht?

Danke vielmal schon mal.
