My stock vector objects are delivered and I download as eps files. The latest Windows updates have removed recognition of eps files and when I make an attempt to associate Illustrator 2023 to the eps download, I get a system notification that no app is available on my machine - the only option is to look for an app in the Windows store.
If I drag the file to illustrator it opens a raster version of the image that can't be scanned. I have used image trace to convert these to vector, sometimes OK, sometimes not.
I'm sure there's some sort of work around, but have no idea what that may be. Since I have pre-paid stock vectors, I'd sure like a solution.
Thanks to those who know more than me,
Download Inkscabe, Scribus, LaTex, GhostScript and so on. The all can handle EPS and export to other formats usable in AI.
What happens if you use Open from the File menu in Illustrator?
Works like a charm.
