Open Photo from Illustrator

Hi, I have installed in Monterey with Illustrator 2022, and Photoshop both version 2022 and version 2021.
If I import/connect a photo (jpg/psd/png) in Illustrator and want to edit it in Photoshop, using the appropriate button from the toolbar, it always opens the 2021 version... why?
I would like it to open the latest version. Do you know how to solve this?

Thanks

Hi @Anubhav Majumder ,

Thank you very much.
This is the correct and working solution, even in an instant.

STEP 2: In Illustrator Navigate to: Illustrator-> Preferences-> File Handling
In the File Handling window make sure the "Use System Defaults for 'Edit Original' box is Checked. Click OK.
