I created a drawing in Illustrator. When I try to export it, the whole project has rotated 90 degrees. Why?
Use the ESCAPE key or reset the degrees to 0 or View > Reset Rotate View.

Can you share a capture? How you export it? Export Assets?

You probably created the content while it was rotated.
Copy the content, create a horizontal artboard, paste the content and rotate it to fit the horizontal artboard,

Looks like you have rotated your artboard. Look at the lower left corner of your document next to the zoom percentage.

But I never intentionally rotated it. And I want it to be at the "rotated" orientation. How do I put it back and have it remain that way for printing or for exporting?

I so appreciate your patience with me. This is so frustrating. I've never had this happen before. My document is now at the orientation I want. But I'm back to having it turned 90 degrees when I want to export it.

Can you please describe step by step?
You have turned the canvas to 0°? Then also rotated the artwork? And then it doesn't export correctly?

Thank you so much for all your advice. This was supposed to be a quick sketch for the irrigation specialist for a common client. I ultimately exported with the vertical view. Then opened the save jpeg and rotated that to the horizontal view. Then I saved that. Now it's where I want it. Again, I thank you!!

That is a workaround. Good to hear that worked. Next time start horizontal.
