so i am sending a cmyk Ai file to be printed . and i will send the used pantone color swatches numbers . but the background color is one of the pantone colors i used but with opacity ... will that be a problem at the printing ?? ( no overlaping colors just one soild color but with opacity ) ( printing on sticker label on a plastic bottle )
help please ....
Apply a Pantone or other spot color to an object and then open the color panel to adjust the tint.

Did you check the Window > Separations Preview to see if it separates as you think it should?

no i didnot ..... but is there a problem in printing pantone with opacity ??
the printed label was different color than the one i sent .

Overprint preview or separations preview will give you a better idea of the printed result.
If the spot color does not overlap other colors (like you mentioned) using a transparency percentage or a tint percentage should not make a difference.

yes it is just one color with transparency and not overlaping anyother colors or object .
i will check what you said .. i asked because i wanted to know if pantone colors are not good to be printed with transparency .

Pantone colors can give problems when transparency is used and they interact with other objects below them. If they don't interact it will not be a problem.

If you don't need opacity for your design, I would avoid it and use tints.
Also, did you spec the color as a solid color or as a CMYK conversion (Pantone Color Bridge)?
If a spot/solid color, the quality of conversion depends on your selected color (some colors convert better than others), printer's skill, and how you are printing the product.
