How is your color management set up?

Is this really a different color? Did you check the values?

Is the original part of a group that maybe has a transparency setting applied?

yes,
the opacity is not 100%,
is there a way I can get the transparency to be 100% with getting it
lighter, so it still looks like a watercolor?

It needs to be transparent in order to look like watercolor, because transparency is an attribute of watercolor 

 

But of course you can make the color lighter. Since you have multiple colors, this will not be simple. You can try and use Recolor artwork (it has a general slider for that) or the Edit colors > Color balance functio

 

If you have Astute Graphics Phantasm, you could achieve better results with those effects. They work like in Photoshop.
