Pattern options panel

Hi there,

I am triying to do seamless pattern on AI. 

At first, I created my design on a canvas 10000x10000px. 

Then, I copied all the elements and unselected them. Then went object>pattern>make.

Then, the window "Pattern options" popped up.

I tried to change the size of my pattern tile to the same size of my artboard. But it wouldn't allow me to change the widh and height to 10000px. It only allow me to do 4000px. 

And I would like my pattern tile the same size than my artboard. Do you know how to fix it?

Apparently that is the limit.

And then that's that.

What you can do is make the pattern in 4000 by 4000 and then scale when you apply it to the object. That pattern is quite huge, are you sure you need that size?

It's the first time am making pattern. So I thought is was better to size it large. But I will try to scale it down to see how it goes, or try the option you suggested in your next msg by not deselecting objects.

After copying all objects, do not deselect them. Then take Object menu > Pattern > Make.
