Pattern within object unable to rescale, move or skew

In previous versions of illustrator, I was able to use '`' key along with 'shift' to rescale a pattern within a vector shape.

I use this rescaling technique all the time to fill patterns within vector sketches of fashion garments and I can no longer do it. Has adobe removed this feature?

I have tried every single key in the keyboard to try doing the same and I cannot find it within the keyboard shortcuts. I have even tried to use the scale pop-up tab, to click only on 'transform pattern' and it does nothing so I think this is a glitch/bug! Can adobe PLEASE fix this, I rely on this alot. I love asking the 'empty adobe verse' for an answer 🙂

this has never worked reliably and always depended on the combination if keyboard, system and application language. Did you change anything in that regard?

The only thing that I've changed is updating the app.
