Artwork that is dragged in or placed is lighter...like it is almost grayed out. What is causing this? It exports and prints fine, but in the UI in Illustrator, it is lighter than it should be...

There is a bug caused by the recent Photoshop update. It sets your Color Settings to Emulate Illustrator 6, which turns color management off.

Use the CC app to revert Photoshop to the Previous version (22.2.0) and then change your Color Settings to what you want it to be. If you are unsure use one of the General color settings.
