Please add a polygonal lasso tool to Illustrator

Sometimes the regular lasso tool is comparatively cumbersome when the vectors being selected lie with in an area that could be easily defined by a polygon rather than a hand-drawn shape. 

This request is in keeping with Adobe's stated mission of making features and tools across applications more consistent.
