Preferences not saving - overridden?

Is anyone else experiening this? I'm noticing that my General Unit of mesurement reverts everytime I start a new document. Prefernces - Units - General.

Illustrator actually seems to read the Units choice that is set in the New Document dialog window rather than from the preferences. If you are using the "Legacy" New Document window then you can set the units standard in the "Units:" pull-down menu. If you are using the current New Document click on the "More Settings" button (you may have to click closed the "Advanced Options" section in order to see this button) and make the same choice in the "More Setting" dialog that appears. Your document will open with the units that you prefer. Quit Illustrator and when you reopen the program your choice should remain as the default for all new documents.
