Hello! I am baffled. Tried to print both sides of the cardstock. Printed fine on the front. Inserted same page back in printer and it sounds like it is printing the text then comes out blank. Tried to print on regular paper and it prints fine so it isn't a problem with the layer preferences. Why won't it print on the back if it will print on the front? Thanks!

It will surely help to tell us what kind of printer this is, because it's not an Illustrator issue. Illustrator doesn't care what kind of paper you put into your printer.

If you are hand-feeding the card stock, it's possible the printer doesn't feed the paper through again to prevent jams. When printers print duplex, they usually pull the paper back into the printer after the first pass to print the other side.

Depends on the printer.
Some won't allow duplex printing on certain types/weights of paper, but since you seem to be manually feeding the second side, I don't see how that should cause an issue.
What kind of printer do you have? Model no?
