Problem Copying tables from InDesign into Illustrator

Hello all,
Until now I could easily copy designed tables from InDesign into Illustrator (apple+a >apple+c>apple+v).
Unfortunately, this is no longer possible in the latest version of both programmes.
Can someone help me urgently.
Many thanks in advance!

Problem solved.

It didn't work via the menu either!?
We then experimented again.
Grouping, copying and pasting did not work.

But....The solution:
Next to the designed and formatted table
add another element (for example an empty frame field). Group the table
and the additional element together, copy and paste. Then everything is
transferred.
Then simply delete the additional element.
Thank you very much for your support!!

They have improved the handling of formatted text and that might have ruined your workflow. You could add that table to the CC library as a graphic. And then place it from the library in Illustrator.

Hello Monika,

Thanks for the quick answer. Either I'm still doing something wrong or
it's not working.

It's about getting the designed table (with coloured fields etc.) into
Illustator.
If I do it as before via "copy and paste", it only takes over the texts,
without the design and the typesetting.
Only the texts.
If I do it as you described, via the CC library, I unfortunately have
exactly the same problem! It also looks exactly like this.

Don't just drag it into the library in InDesign. You have to add it via the menu.

Glad you could solve it.

I tried the way of adding the table via the menu before answering and it worked for me.

Perfect! It works! A silly bug, but great there is a way around it.

Its great how basic functionality keeps tanking more on every new damn version. It sure justifies the monthly subscriptions. We've gotten to the point where we're paying the developers to unnecessarily mess with the programs. CS6 was pretty ok, and then we keep getting "fixes" that make it worse. CS6 is arguably as good as CC2023 - a few features lacking here and there in comparison, less buggy, and some of the ancient bugs and inconsistencies still not fixed. The 11 years of monthly payments from all of us is not reflected in any of the Id, Ai, Ps products.

No, it's not.

You might get the basic and day to day work done pretty decently, but it's not "as good as 2023" and you will notice even when you just do your pretty basic day to day work.
