problem with exporting svg

So I was trying to export my Illustrator file as a svg to use it on the web and I chose the ID to be layer name but when I export the code the id name becomes this  (id="Áåçûìÿííûé_ãðàäèåíò_6") instead of the layer name. I think it has something to do with the font encoding or something, is there any fix?

Without any idea about your actual layer naming, your language and export settings and other such details nobody can tell you much.

Yes, I made sure they are all different.

When I try to use the Save As SVG method, it works fine but the colors change due the fact that when I use the Save As method, the blending mode of the layers don't work, so I'm suck with use the Export As method which makes the colors correct but it destroys the layers name as you can see.

Hi @Toni5E5F,

We are sorry for the trouble and delayed response. The issue you are describing looks similar to the one reported on this UserVoice. If it is similar to the issue you are facing, I will request you to upvote it and add your comments there, which will help in prioritizing the issue getting fixed. By doing this, you will keep getting updates. In the meantime, you may try the following workaround:

  • Install an older version of Illustrator v26.0.3
  • Uninstall Illustrator using the CC Cleaner tool
    - Manually remove the preferences for Illustrator:

    - Go to Location C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
    - Rename Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Illustrator 26 Settings folders to Adobe Illustrator.old and Adobe Illustrator - 26 Settings.old

Disclaimer: Please note that renaming preferences folders will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will
launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. The location is mentioned above.

    - Re-install Illustrator from the Creative Cloud Desktop app

We will reach out to you if we need any information and update the discussion once we get an update.
In the meantime, I would request you to try the workaround suggested above, be patient, and stay tuned for the updates.

Thanks,

Anshul Saini
