Problems with opening IA-cloud files in Illustrator 22 nor from the Creative Cloud app

After upgrading to the new version last week, when I go to the Illustator home page with my recent files, increasingly I cannot open them directly in Illustrator.

It doesn't do anything, no sign of opening.

I worked out that all my Adobe cloud files are in the Creative Cloud app, so I go there under files and still even if I double click or right click to open, it still doesn't open. 

I usually then use Illustrator 21 but obviously that is not a convenient option.

On a side note: under recent files in the new illustrator, it used to show me the files I worked on which was great. Now it also shows me individual jpg files I've saved from AI files which I don't want to see really.

I'd just like to see my recent AI files like in AI 21.
