What version OS and Illustrator are you using?

When did this issue start, is this s new install, or did this happen on an existing installation that was working well before?

10 Windows and 27.2 (64)
It works again! That's not a new install, and it worked well until recently. I do think I didn't anything at all! Still, it's not the first time i'm facing this, so i'm really interested in solving

Did you install anything new in the OS recently? Does this fix itself after restarting? Try the update to 27.7.

Try a more thorough prefs reset:

PREFS  RESET WIN (other)

Quit Illustrator

Press Win+R -> appdata -> Roaming -> Adobe -> rename folder "Adobe Illustrator XX Settings"  to anything else like "Adobe Illustrator XX Settings_old"

Hello @fyliy,

I see that you're encountering an issue where the Properties panel in Adobe Illustrator remains blank when you select objects, and resetting preferences didn't resolve the problem. Here are some additional steps you can try to address this issue:

  • Rename the CEP folder to CEP.old & UXP to UXP.old from the following location:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe
  • Reinstall Adobe Illustrator: Uninstall Adobe Illustrator completely from your computer using the CC Cleaner tool and then reinstall it from the Creative Cloud Desktop app.

  • Try an Older Version: If the issue still persists, you can try installing an older version of Adobe Illustrator (e.g., version 27.7) to see if the problem is specific to version 27.2. Sometimes, issues are introduced in newer updates.

After trying these steps, restart your computer and launch Adobe Illustrator to see if the issue with the blank Properties panel is resolved.

I hope one of these solutions helps you get your Properties panel back to working order. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please feel free to ask.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini

I renamed the folder CEP (didn't find the UXP one), didn't work. I'll try others later, thanks a lot

I'm sorry to hear that renaming the CEP folder didn't resolve the issue with the blank Properties panel in Adobe Illustrator. Missing UXP folder could be the reason why your panel is appearing blank. As they are supposed to be in this location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\

You can try the other suggestions when you have the opportunity.

I hope you can get this issue resolved soon so you can work smoothly in Illustrator.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance in the future, don't hesitate to ask.

Good luck!

Anshul
