Questions

Hello all,
I am new to this software and trying to work my way through it.
Couple issue that I would like to address.
1) 16:23 into the video, he say to highlight the star, press alt and it is supposed to change the number of points on said star. After several tries, I can get the star to do about anything, except add more points
What am I missing?

2) I have looked in documents for "File Exercises" to follow along with that is mentioned at the 22:53 minute mark. Where would I find those at?

TIA

Alan

Is this when you initially create the star, or subsequently?

It only uses the arrow keys when you initially create the star. If you want to edit it after, use the slider in the transform panel:

Nobody kbows this course. Is it free on Youtube? In tht case please post a link.

If it's not free, you will need to describe what precisely you are supposed to do and post screenshots.

If you are paying for a course, then asking the trainer might be an option?

If there are better, please let me know.
As I stated earlier, I am new to this and that video seemed like the one to go to.
Thanks
Alan

Thank you. In the video that I sent the link too, the guy was holding something down on his keyboard and using his mouse to add/subtract points on the star. A keyboard short cut. After watching the video several times, and not understand what he was doing, I thought that I would ask.

Yes, when he was dragging the star, while holding down his mouse, he was using the up and down arrow keys to increase the number of points.

I must still be missing something, because it just moves the star when I drag it.
Up/down arrows do nothing.

It works only during the creation of the star.

I have the star figured out, thank you.
Moving forward, I seem to be lost at the 22:58 marker on retrieving the exercise files.
In my documents when I get to the Adobe file, I see nothing concerning the exercise files.
I thought that I read that they were included in Ai download, no?

Just trying to put new knowledge in this ole brain of mine. 🙂
Again, I really do apprecite all of your help.
