When we try to install a plugins on Illustrator the installer exit with error : "Operation is not supported in elevated mode, use command without sudo/admin "

this mean that we are not enable now to install with admin mode!!

The problem is on Windows !! no problem on mackintosh

Using "UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent" and installing with admin rights should be the right option and not the other way around!!

This seems more like a platform i.e. the OS issue or probably the installer issue(what are you using to create your installer) rather than the SDK issue.

Ok, in that case maybe @erinferinferinf could shed some light on this.

What is the plug in you are trying to install? Is it compatible with the version of windows you are running? You may have to go to the plug in website and check whether the plug in is designed to run on win 10 or 11 for example.

Hi @Mike_Gondek,

I don't think plugins depend upon the OS version explicitly to work or not. I mean if the plugin is created using the correct SDK and correct build tools then all should be taken care of by the host application and it should load. Unless of course we have issues like OS locking something like the quarantine file attribute on the MAC. I don't suspect an SDK issue it should be the UPIA or an OS thing.

Thank you for your response

I confirm that it's a UPIA problem
