I am having problems with my vectorized radial repeats not keeping their shapes when I reopen my files.  AND, THANKFULY it doesn't happen on all of my radial repeats.  This is driving my crazy.  WHAT AM I DOING WRONG-I don't know....PLEASE, can anyone help?  They were all made in Illustrator as vecors. not sure even how to show anyone what is happening since it has already changed its shape and the image attached to my saved file.  Some of my radial repeats explode and rotate.  Is this a bug? a user who doesn't know what she is doing? ...URGHHHHH

Hi @KMLJohnston, sorry I can't help directly because I don't know the problem you are describing, but perhaps you could take a screen video? And re-create a problematic example?

Ideally, so you can say the steps you took to show the problem, eg.

1. open supplied "demo shape.ai" file

2. select the shape

3. choose Object > Repeat > Radial ...

4. choose 7 repetitions, 100mm radius (or whatever!)

5. save as "demo-radial.ai"

6. take screen shot of whole screen, showing radial repeat

7. close "demo-radial.ai"

8. open "demo-radial.ai"

9. take screen shot of whole screen (best not to change view—keep the same as in step 6)

Now compare screenshots from step 6 and 9. This will highlight the differences.

I think this would be a good way to approach this problem. Or, perhaps others have noticed the problem and will explain.

Did you already reboot the system?

Reset the preferences?

If the files have been saved PDF compatible, you could open them in Acrobat to take a screenshot there.
