Hello everyone,
I've got a problem that is getting me crazy. Yesterday I modified an illustrator file that I used to export in SVG so the web programmer can put on a website page.
I named the main objects levels to find them easily on the code and everything went right until yesterday. Now when I try to export it some IDs (not all) generates random numbers at the end og the name and I can't understand why.
Can someone help me?
Thanks

Hello @nethix,
We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind sharing more details, like your exact workflow details and links to a sample Ai and SVG file, so we can investigate this further?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Anubhav

I had the same issue today on a document I've been using for 6 years.
After joining two paths together using the pen tool clicking on the nodes. This merged an existing path with a name "PER" with an unnamed path. When I 'Save As' SVG the id added the random number on the end id="PER_0000XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX_".
So I renamed it to "PER_", then 'Save As' SVG again, and it was now id="PER_x5F_".
Then I renamed back to "PER", then Saved the AI file.
Next 'Save As' SVG again, and it was now back to the correct id="PER".
Hope that works for others.

I get this issue too! Is there a solution? It is really slowing down the workflow as I have to rename the files manually and I am exporting hundreds of files.
