Illustrator 29.8.2 (64-bit)

OS: Windows 11.0
Process Architecture: x86_64
Built-In Memory: 32482 M

Issue:

While using the direct selection tool to edit grouped line elements, 5 layers consisting of a three stacked lines, 2.5pt stroke,  2pt stroke, 0.75pt stroke, a white rectangle (0.217pt stroke ) 2.25mm (H) x 8-20mm (W), and descriptive text label, the application is randomly changing the stroke weight of the line element I have selected to 1.0pt, and assigning a random fill, usually white, but not always.

The image is typical of what I am working with, but this is a virgin group used to create various color-coded schematic elements, no colors having been assigned yet.  The issue is occurring with schematics previously rendered, ones where colors have been assigned and drawings fully assembled, but require color editing for new applications that have the same circuitry and some wire color changes.  When this happens in a fully assembled document, the errant change may not be immediately visible due to the level of zoom being used to access the element requiring the edit, so again, the issue I am reporting is causing frustration due to the loss of time involved in making corrections not under my control.
