Rasterized images are pixelated after export

Hi,

When I try to export a rasterized image as a png. using 'Export Selection' (which means there are no export options regarding anti-aliasing, and such), the result is pixelated.

Is there any way to avoid that?

Okay, crisis averted... 🙂

I realized that you can copy the image from Illustrator and paste it into Photoshop and then export as a png without pixelating.

So all's good. 🙂

Just so you know for next time, in the Export Selection window you can click on the little cog wheel and get the normal options (anti-aliasing etc.) for each export type:

Exporting as an image will always create pixels, but there are export options by clicking the cog wheel.

Thank you Doug and Ton, I wasn't aware of the cog wheel!

But rasterized images -- where all the dots are 100% black -- are still pixelated when exported from Illustrator.

I should add that by 'pixelated' I not only mean that there are pixels per se, but also that those pixels show grey-tones, which they shouldn't.

When I instead copy the image from Illustrator, paste it into Photoshop and then export as a png from PS, then the resulting image does NOT show those grey-tones. Instead, the rasterized image appears as expected, all dots are still 100% black.

Again, it's no longer an issue to me since I just use PS instead...

After clicking the Cog wheel you can set Anti-aliasing to None to avoid grey tones.
