Recolor tool not working

Hello!

I really need some help. I updated my adobe illustrator and now the recolor tool is not working for any of my patterns. I open the tool and click a new swatch group but the colors on the actual pattern dont change. Can someone help me with this please? I need to recolor my artwork asap for a project! Thanks!

So you applied the pattern to an object and then opened Recolor art?

Can you please show a screenshot of your original pattern and then Recolor art interface?

Hi Monica, when I click on my object and then go to the recolor tool, Ill click on the swatches next and it doesnt change the colors on my motif.  Please see the image below.  Ill then use the arrows move through the colors and they still dont change on the object

Can you turn on the checkbox "Recolor art" in the bottom left?

What happens if you turn on the Recolor Art option at the bottom of the dialog?

oh my gosh that worked! I didnt even notice that checkbox! I appreciate it!
