Reflections and poor rendering in Illustrator with 3D

When I adjust the 3D effects to be closer to what I want, the render that appears during the process with the loading bar that shows up is very close to what I want the final image to look like, but once it finishes, the final render is lower quality and has reflections around the letters and shapes that I dont want.

I have no idea what is causing this and feel like I've adjusted every setting imaginable!

Can you show screenshots instead?

Did you check out all the settings in the Raytrace dialog box?

Did you adjust the DOcument raster effects resolution?
