Which Illustrator workspace are you using. When I click the Filter by Classification option in the Character panel I see a flyout menu like what is shown in the attached image:

I'm using the Essentials Classic. This appears whenever a piece of text is selected. Here's where:

I'm using the Essentials Classic workspace as well (with a bit of customization added). I don't have a tag filters thingie popping up above the font name in the Character panel, even when it is displayed in the Properties panel. Have you tried resetting the Character panel? The "reset panel" option is listed at the bottom in the Character Panel flyout menu.

It was still there after resetting and reopening the app. But then I updated from 29.5.1 to 29.5.1 latest update and it disappeared. Yay for now!

It's a mystery to me how that appeared in the first place. I'm using 3 different builds of Illustrator (28.7.7 and 29.5.1 at work and the 29.6 beta at home) and can't seem to find any option to add that Adobe Fonts oriented fonts styles filter to the Character panel.
