Whenever I happen to add something to my illustrator, a sign comes up that says rendering 3d and materials effect. How do I stop this sign from coming up?
I rebooted my laptop, and the rendering went away.
I sure will reach out if I run into any other issues.

You do not have any 3D objects in your file?
Do you have any graphic styles with 3D?

Rebooting will free up RAM and might generally clean stuff up.
Does this only happen in a specific AI file? Or in all files?

It happens in all files. I'll reboot it when I get back home. Thanks for the help

I hope the issue is resolved with Monika's suggestion. If not, would you mind checking if this is happening in a document or not? If yes, would you mind sharing files in which this happening & from where you are adding in the Illustrator file, as Doug has requested, and a screen recording demonstrating the issue or a screenshot of the message/ sign would be really helpful for further investigation?
Kindly update the discussion if you still need assistance with it. We'd be happy to help.
Thanks,
Anshul Saini
