Hi all,
I work with a lot of print packaging and in the last few months I've had a few clients come back and ask that their AI files are outlined for print...problem is they are.

I've only noticed this become an issue with this new feature and more so this year, I see no way to turn it off so if printers etc are opening these files it's popping up with missing fonts etc. This has happened now with a local client and also one who prints in China.

If I redownload these files to double check it shows zero fonts in the font panel as it should but yet they are saying at their end they are not outlined. Causing a lot of frustration!

Any ideas or fixes. AI is great as long as you can turn it off which I've seen no way to stop it.

The Retype function doesn't do anything unless it's launched.

What kind of files do you hand off for printing? AI or PDF? And could you perhaps get a screenshot from the printing service showing what they are seeing?
