rgb color shifting when placed in Illustrator

I have a logo created in Illustrator with an rgb blue 48, 117, 238. When I place this logo into another illustrator document or even in the same document where it originated the blue shifts. When I sample the placed logo blue it reads 76,106,179. Same logo when opend in photoshop in rgb mode the reads 79,106,179.

Any ideay what's causing the shift? Any way to make it not shift?

Is your document also (the same) RGB? Or are you working with RGB color in a CMYK document?
