Round Path showing edgy errors?

Hey,

I am using Illustrator on a M1 Macbook and need to transform and adjust a pattern, which we have been sent by another graphic-agency.

While the path itself is ok and round, there appear black corners (where there is no path). Even if it seems like a display-error, the problem continues even if we export the file or copy it to InDesign, eg.

Funny thing is: If we move the angles of the path for a little bit (which changes the shape, so it is not an option), the edges disappear and the pattern looks perfect.

The previous reply may help with the display issue, but I would not have expected those artifacts to show up when you export - like to a pixel-based format, jpg, png. Would seem like a display/preview issue.

So I'm trying to think of a workaround that wouldn't change the shape - almost seems like Illustrator needs a wake-up. What happens if you take the Pen tool and just click on a path to add an anchor point? It wouldn't change the shape but maybe it would wake illustrator up and change the display. Or run Object > Path> Simplify with the Reduce slider at 100 so it doesn't change the shape.

What happens when you change the fillcolor? You can turn off the live corner widgets in View > Hide Corner Widget. Have you restarted Illustrator? Just some ideas, hope you can get it fixed.
