Save As Dilaog not appearing in Illustrator 2023 27.2 and it crashes

The Save As function is not working in Illustrator 2023 27.2.  No Save As dialog box is appearing and the program just sits until it crashes.  Sometimes hitting the escape button saves from a crash, but that doesn't help my situation.  I have tried the fixes suggested in the forums.  Please advise as to how to fix.  Thank you.
