I really hate that the new updates allow you to interupt a save before fully saving the file. I make updates, hit save, wait a little bit, then hit save as to save a pdf... more revisions come in and I open the updated file only to find it isn't updated. Before, Illustrator wouldn't let you do anything else to the file until it "finished" saving. I've been burned countless times with this. Really wish Adobe would go back to the old way of saving.
