Scale Strokes and Effects not working

I have downloaded Illustrator on a new computer which has reset my preferences. I have a group which I can scale up and down no issue normally and it holds shape. Inside that group, there is a shape which is not scaling properly (left most shape). To fix this, normally I would go into Preferences and select the "Scale strokes and effects" checkbox. I did this and attempted the scale again, and it hasn't worked. Please see image examples below. Is this just me?

Apologies team, I have figured it out. I needed to also select "Scale Corners"
