Scatter Brush Not Working

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with having a sctater brush of a circle not following the path it's applied to exactly.

Even though both Size and Spacing are set to Fixed, there still seems to be a randomized element to this.

I would use teh Pattern brush but that warps the circles.

Any suggestions on how to do this / solve this would be much appreciated.

That's a known issue of (some) scatter brushes.

You may try this dirty workaround:

- Select the Scatter Brush object

- Go to Effect menu > Distort and Transform > Zig Zag

- Set the size to 0 (zero), the Ridges per Segment to 100 and take the Smooth option (the last setting may be not necessary at all)

Does it get a bit better then?

Sorry, but I am not exactly sure what you are trying to achieve here. Is the image you posted what you want? Or is the circles that you hand did over it what you want?

I want the red dots to conform to the perfectly circlular path they are applied to as a brush. You can see the red dots do not conform to the perfect circle path as they randomly peek out fro the area they should be aligned within (the grey).
