Screen moves when resizing shapes

New Here ,
Oct 04, 2023 Oct 04, 2023

Everytime I try to resize a shape, the whole screen starts moving as if I'm using the hand tool to move around the artboard. I've been having this issue since yesterday but nvere before. Using the "reset rotate view" under "view" does allow me to resize without moving the screen, but it's not a good solution as need to be able to rotate around the design.

How do I fix this issue?

Did you update anything on the computer?

If not, then maybe reboot the computer and if that does not help you could try and reset the preferences (this will erase all your settings)

If you are using a trackpad, then you can turn off the canvas rotation in Preferences > General

I updated my computer and also reset preferences after I had the issue, but it's still happening, I am also using mouse and keyboard.

Hello @Lindsey29718883t222,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind trying to run Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps?

Also, try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav
