Script to group shapes that are close to one another

Hi.

I am working on a project that has 150 shapes all individually separated on artboard in grid format. They get filled with vector swatch image that is then Expanded and trimmed down. Now I need to group all those 150 shapes to get 150 groups.

Is there a script that groups all shapes and paths that are close to one another?

Maybe to give limiter pixel and for script to put in one group everything that is in range of that pixel value. 

Is there script like that or can it be written?
