Share for review comments are somtimes misaligned - about 5mm below the actual comment.
In the case of text errors usually few lines below the actual error-comment.
Web inteface shows the comments in the right place, but something bad happens when illustrator reads the comments back in. Its presistent in every illustrator version i have.
The same bug keeps following me in different illustartor versions. Im not sure what is causing this. One time i suspected some file specific bug, but it keeps reappearing in newly created files. Might it be related to bleed settings? I dont know. But tis bug makes share for review feature quite ununseable for serious design professionals.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Could you please share more details, such as the exact version of the OS/Illustrator installed, and provide a link to a sample file, so we can investigate this further?
Hi. If you read my post carefully you will notice that Illustrator version does not matter. Also i have changed my OS few times since the bug appeared mid 2025. OSX version is 15.7.1 (24G231). Illustrator versions affected 30.1, 29.8.3, 28.7.10. Any Illustrator version can repeat this bug. Thanks for sharing the sample file and the Share for Review link. I tested this on my end and wasn't able to reproduce the misalignment using my own test files. However, when I tested with the file you provided, I was able to observe the comment offset behavior you described, where the annotations appear lower than the intended location inside Illustrator while looking correct in the web interface.
I'm checking this with the product team and will keep you posted as soon as I have an update.
