Hi,

Someone that used to work at my office created a map but for some reason only created it 5 x 6. We need to get it printed 24 x 36. Is there anyway I can enlarge the file in illustrator without recreating the whole thing?

Megan,

You can, but you may need to consider the resolution of possible raster images.

And the proportions/ratios are different: 5 x 6 is 5:6 whereas 24 x 36 is 4:6.

If it's vector...yes.  The file will need to be adjusted because the vertical size will be cropped or cutoff to make the 24" ( will end up 30" if enlarged 600%, I think you knew that already ).

I don't think they would care if we kept the ratio at 5:6. How would i go about enlarging the file without enlarging every building, tree, etc?
