Slow previews in Illustrator

Has anyone had problems with their previews lately? I am on the latest Illustrator and latest Big Sur update and I find my thumbnail previews in the open box are painfully slow to open (From 15 to 40 seconds). I notice this too in the quick preview in the OS finder (but that is more specifically an OS problem).
Currently it is quicker for me to open a file and see if it is the right one, than it is to wait for the preview.

Which is weird. If anyone knows a fix or can suggest some cache to clean out it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Not sure if this is still works on Big Sur, but try the steps mentioned here https://osxdaily.com/2018/08/21/clear-quick-look-cache-mac/

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. In addition to follow the suggestion given by Dan earlier, you may also use Adobe Bridge. It lets you preview, organize, edit and publish multiple creative assets quickly and easily.  Hope it helps.

Regards,

Ashutosh
