Smart Guide Line Extension not snapping

I recently updated to Illustrator 2025 and since doing so, when I go to extend a line by dragging an anchor, it is no longer snapping to the "Line Extension". I have verified that the correct preferences are checked under Preferences> Smart Guides> Anchor/ Path Labels. 

 

Any help on this would be great thanks!

    As far as I can see the issue has been fixed in the latest Illustrator version 29.0.1.

    I'm having the same issue, as well, ever since the latest Illustrator update. Windows 11, Illustrator 29.0 (64-bit).

    Same here. What can we do with that? It's frustrating that I can't have the same workflow as in Illustrator 2024. Please help us! Thank you! We appreciate in advance!
