Some of my “editable font” files are not editable

I have purchased many Editable Font files and have had no issue easily editing the text in Illustrator to apply the effect. However a few are driving me crazy. I can't seem to find the layer to edit (most certainly ISN'T easy. There needs to be a text instruction file if more than 2 steps are required). I thought it was pretty basic to select the Text tool and edit! 
I hope to god all my purchases aren't going to be this hard 😢 Unbelievablely YouTube has no tutorials. Are these files even editable?

The word 'Nature' is a text object -- unfortunately in a font that doesn't seem to be on Adobe Fonts. But it is certainly editable:
