Source Han Sans Traditional and Simplified Chinese

Hello! I'm trying to use these fonts in Illustrator but the font name doesn't appear as "Source Han Sans..." in the dropdown menu so I can't read what I'm selecting. 

Is there a way to ensure Illustrator displays the font by it's name in the dropdown in all Adobe products (as it does in InDesign)?

Yes, check Show font names in English in Preferences > Type

Hey there! I have a new question I'm wondering if you can help with — some characters simply do not "work" for simplified Chinese with Source Han Sans TW — is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?

You should set in Source Han Sans SC rather than TW
