Hi there,

just wondering if there is a way to have the pen or pencil tool draw in certain lengths?

Example would be it draws in a minimum increment of 25mm and grows in the set increment 25,50,75,100mm in length only

TIA

WIth plugins you can have that: https://astutegraphics.com/plugins/inkscribe

The plugin brings its own tool to achieve the functionality.

For paths with only straight segments you may just use the grid with Snap to Grid turned on. Or create your own grids with guides and use Smart Guides to snap accurately. Both ways, of course, won't work in all possible cases.

For curved paths there may be some (not so straightforward) workarounds. You may want to share one or two sample files, so one can see if they could be practical or not.

In what context do you need that capability?

We use a material that can be cut in only 25mm increments so I would like make lines and curves, print them to scale and know we are not going to be short or too long
