Please let us choose to upgrade to the latest versions because the new 2022 illustrator KEEPS CRASHING... it even crashes when trying to SAVE FILES.

You can choose to upgrade whenever you want. Just turn off the auto-upgrade in the Creative Cloud app.

Hi Monika, thank you. I appreciate your help. I think I was more concerned about just posting something because I was sooooo annoyed. 2022 version has already crashed on me 7x in the past 2 days - 4 of those times was during me saving so I had to do the same work over and over again. I felt better immediately after posting lol And I was so heated that I didn't remember we COULD turn it off.
